The evaluation is done as follows

Environmental friendliness of the ski resort Mt. Norquay – Banff

The ski resort of Mt. Norquay is located in Banff National Park. All interventions in nature are strictly limited and are monitored by Parks Canada. Protection of the environment therefore plays a very important role. The complete ski resort - from the ski lifts to lighting - is operated with 100% environmentally friendly electricity. It is the first ski resort in Alberta to be powered entirely by wind and hydraulic power. The resort has also taken a stance against disposable plastic and uses alternatives instead. The resort promotes shuttle buses from Banff to the ski resort. Visitors can therefore park their car in Banff and use environmentally friendly transport to travel to the ski resort.
