The Ibex refuge, an unusual and eco-responsible mountain chalet

Located in the Pré la Beaume at 2,050 metres above sea level, this former alpine chalet built in the 1840s and completely renovated in 2021 is nestled in the heart of the mountains on the doorstep of the Ecrins national Park. There is a stunning panoramic view across the peaks. The property is entirely self-sufficient. Electricity is provided via solar panels and heating and hot water are supplied thanks to the wood stove.

Montagn‘Artdéco : a painting studio dedicated to the mountains

A mountain vibe is guaranteed at the Montagn’Artdéco studio! Stéphanie Escallier, a painting enthusiast, left her job working on the pistes to open her art shop. She shares her passion for painting on wood with children during hour-long workshops. The children can then leave with a holiday souvenir which they have created themselves (a painting engraved with their name). From 6 years of age.

Snowshoe excursions ‘by the light of the moon’ with ESF

This trip promises to be a unique experience and allows you to explore nature in complete peace and quiet amidst snow-covered larch forests. These nocturnal snowshoe walks take place every Tuesday and Wednesday in small groups accompanied by an ESF guide. It is not unusual to come across ibexes, foxes and other local inhabitants. Participants can enjoy a meal served in a typical Champsaur auberge prepared with local ingredients.
