Access, Parking Palisades Tahoe
The ski resort of Palisades Tahoe is situated on the north shore of Lake Tahoe between Truckee and Tahoe City. From Highway 89, well-constructed roads lead to the base stations in The Village at Palisades Tahoe and Alpine Meadows. The ski resort can be accessed directly from both base stations. The Base to Base gondola links the two parts of the ski resort. Adequate free parking is available around the base stations. Winter equipment is essential if fresh snow has fallen. The road from South Lake Tahoe via Emerald Bay can be closed for short periods in winter during snowfalls.
