Cross-country trails at the ski resort Parsenn (Davos Klosters)

  • Cross-country trail offering
    Total trail length: 132 km

The cross-country trails surrounding Davos and Klosters are snow-reliable and attractively scenic. The trails start directly in the town and lead through quiet side valleys. The cross-country season in Switzerland opens every year in Davos.
About 4000 m2 of snow is stored every year under a layer of wood chips. This snow is used to prepare a 1.4 km long stretch of trail upon which Dario Cologna and hobby skiers can open the cross-country season already at the end of October. The Snowfarming Project was developed in 2009 by the Technical Service of Davos with the WSL Institue for Snow and Avalanche Research (SLF). Since then, snow has been stored over the summer in cooperation with the national competitive centre for cross-country skiing from Swiss Ski.
