The ski resort of Peyragudes places great emphasis on protecting nature. The 10-person Skyvall gondola lift takes you up to the ski resort without a long drive from the valley. Ski buses are also promoted. Hybrid grooming machines were introduced in 2018 to reduce diesel consumption. The on-board Snowsat satellite management system ensures efficient distribution of snow to conserve resources. Peyragudes is also a member of the Nationalen Charta for sustainable development of mountain villages.
