An innovative traffic concept restricts vehicle access to the village to residents and hotel guests. Shuttle buses provide transportation in Pfelders. The ski resort of Pfelders also sources its energy from hydraulic power. In total, the the energy generated far exceeds the quantity used by the entire ski resort. Pfelders is also part of the largest conservation area in the region, the Texelgruppe/Gruppo di Tessa Nature Park.
