The ski resort of Racines-Giovo (Ratschings-Jaufen) is located in Val Racines (Ratschingstal) shortly after the Brenner when travelling from the north. It is around a 15-minute drive from the Vipiteno (Sterzing) exit of the Brennerautobahn motorway to the base station of the gondola lift (1,300 metres). This is in the village of Bichl/Colle in the community of Racines (Ratschings). The car parks are free of charge with the exception of the multi-storey car park. It is also possible to access the ski resort up on the Passo Giovo (Jaufenpass) at 2,020 metres at the Malga Calice (Kalcheralm). The mountain pass connects the Val Racines (Ratschingstal) and Val Passiria (Passeiertal) valleys.

The Passo Giovo (Jaufenpass) is closed from 6 pm until 8 am during the winter season. The mountain pass is generally open all year round.
