Ramsau am Dachstein is one of the largest cross-country skiing areas in the Alps. It has over 200 kilometres of cross-country trails of all difficulty levels. The highlight is the 3 kilometre night trail at the cross-country stadium in the town of Ramsau which is floodlit every evening until 9 pm. A children's cross-country park and the Nordic X-Park are located at the World Cup stadium. A cross-country trail starts at the mountain station of the Rittisberg combined installation at an altitude of 1,500 metres. 10 cross-country trails have snow-making capabilities, and if snow is limited, there is another high-altitude trail on the Dachstein Glacier. Three cross-country ski schools are available for beginners.

The intermediate cross-country trail starts at the mountain station of the Rittisberg combined installation and takes you around the peaks of Ramsau’s mountain range at an altitude of around 1,500 metres.
