The Rauris Hochalmbahnen ski resort is located in the Rauris Valley in the Province of Salzburg. The only access to the Rauris Valley from the north is via the town of Taxenbach. A mountain road leads from here into the valley. Most visitors travel via the A10 Tauernautobahn motorway to the Bischofshofen/Pongau exit. Sufficient free-of-charge parking is available directly at the base stations of the Kreuzbodenbahn and Hochalmbahn lifts. The main access point is the Hochalmbahn gondola lift.
