Playground Snowpark on the Hornberg being extended with a wildside

The Playground Snowpark in Sector East, formerly the Snowpark Gstaad, is being extended with a wildside and a chill area. The wildside starts at the exit to the Hornberg chair lift and ends at the Saanerslochgrat middle station. Some 10 new features are planned and they have a strong relationship to the natural environment. These features, which include slopes, hills, holes and more, are being complemented with wooden constructions to ensure that they fit better into the landscape.

Project launch for new Saanerslochgrat and Eggli gondola lifts

Construction work for the new Saanenmöser-Saanerslochgrat gondola lifts is already in progress. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on 3rd October. And the planning and building approval documents have already been submitted for the new Gstaad-Eggli gondola lifts.

HUUS Hotel in Gstaad-Saanen

The newly-founded company, Huus Gstaad AG, has now acquired the Steigenberger Hotel Gstaad-Saanen from ACRON Helvetia II Immobilien AG. After the conversion work has been completed, this biggest hotel in the „Saanenland“ will be celebrating its reopening in December 2016. Included in the accommodation price, the HUUS will be offering its guests a host of add-ons and extra services. Nordic Testing Weekend in the Holiday Region of Gstaad

This will be the first time that a "Nordic Testing" event is being held in Gstaad. It is being organised in cooperation with the Hotel Kernen. On 28 and 29 January 2017, cross-country skiers will be able to enjoy the local trails while testing, free of charge, the new equipment for the 2016/17 season. Snow Bike Festival - Long-Term Partnership with Gstaad

The Snow Bike Festival will be held in Gstaad for the next three years. To this end, the organisers and Gstaad Saanenland Tourism agreed to a partnership in the spring of 2016. The 2017 event will run from 19 to 22 January. Registration is open from the end of June 2016.

Winter Biking offer extended

The trendy Fatbike craze has now found a new hotspot in the Destination Gstaad. On some of the hiking trails Fatbiking is allowed. Bikes may be hired at the Hotel Sonnegg, the MuMa Buvette at Sparenmoos and at the bike shops of the area. You will find perfect terrain on Sparenmoos near Zweisimmen. A new addition will be the International Snow Bike Festival from 22 to 24 January 2016.

SuperPass

Gstaad Mountain Rides and the winter sports resorts in the Alpes Vaudoises association offer a joint season ticket. The SuperPass is also available in conjunction with multi-day passes (4 to 15 days).
