From the Autobahn connection at Landquart, the road winds past Kueblis (810 m), Saas, and Mezzaselva to Klosters (1560 m). On the 21st of October, 2011, the 3.7 km bypass around Saas was opened alleviating the traffic jam on the A28 and reducing the travel time from Landquart to Davos Klosters by half an hour. Shortly after Kueblis, the Saas bypass goes through the 2.6 km Saaser Tunnel and then over two bridges to Klosters. The Kueblis bypass is under construction and is planned to open in 2016. There are 700 free parking places at the Rinerhorn base station.
