The evaluation is done as follows

Advanced skiing/powder snow skiing Rosa Khutor

Krasnaya Polyana already had a reputation as a freeriding Mecca before topics such as the Olympic Games were considered in Sochi. The heli-skiing service offered by a French company in the last millennium also had an influence on this. A part of the previous heli-skiing area is now located within the borders of Rosa Khutor. The Rosa Peak offers excellent off-piste terrain and even some of the prepared slopes are pretty challenging.

Information for advanced skiers, freeriders
  • many freeride/deep snow areas
  • few mogul slopes
  • few extremely difficult, steep and unprepared runs (Double Diamonds)

Most difficult run
  • Crazy Khutor · Length 4.6 km · Elevation difference 1201 m
Direttissima from the Rose Peak to the finish area of the Olympic racing slopes. The most challenging section is right at the beginning - a narrow chute between the cliffs.

General note: Always mind the avalanche warnings and barriers, please. Never ski into a closed and unsecured area.
