Advanced skiing, freeriding (powder snow skiing) Rosa Khutor
Krasnaya Polyana already had a reputation as a freeriding Mecca before topics such as the Olympic Games were considered in Sochi. The heli-skiing service offered by a French company in the last millennium also had an influence on this. A part of the previous heli-skiing area is now located within the borders of Rosa Khutor. The Rosa Peak offers excellent off-piste terrain and even some of the prepared slopes are pretty challenging.
- many freeride/deep snow areas
- few mogul slopes
- few extremely difficult, steep and unprepared runs (Double Diamonds)

General note: Always mind the avalanche warnings and barriers, please. Never ski into a closed and unsecured area.
