Orientation (Trail map, information boards, sign-postings) and safety in the ski resort Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn (Skicircus)
Trail map and overview maps
A new slope guidance system was introduced in the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn for the 2019/2020 season. This system is unique worldwide and outstanding in terms of orientation, safety and consistency. The piste map shows the ski resort very clearly divided into ten alphanumeric skiing zones and makes it very easy to find your way. All lifts are indicated according to alphanumeric zones and clearly identified by an icon. The colours of all slopes are clearly recognisable and their numbers are indicated. Snowparks, race courses and speed-measurement runs, funslopes, snow trails, floodlit slopes, toboggan runs and restaurants are clearly identified. The “Ski Map”, a small additional piste map, also shows different routes through the winter sports area. A free navigation app for the entire ALPIN CARD region with visual and audio-based route guidance in three difficulty levels (blue, red, black) to all lifts, huts and attractions completes the offering.
Information boards and sign-postings on the slopes
Signposting on the slopes is exemplary. Colours and shapes are used to allow very easy identification of the difficulty level of each slope. Icons ensure rapid comprehension in all languages. Numerous signposts also indicate distant destinations and attractions, and are often accompanied by piste maps. Large panorama boards and information boards show the current status and piste maps in detail and in the form of a general overview (overview at the base stations; detailed view on the mountain, often both views). Emergency numbers are provided on the back of piste markers. Portals at the entrances to the lifts show location, slope information and links. It doesn’t get better this.
