Environmental protection of the ski resort Saas-Fee

The Saas-Fee Energy Town is a textbook example of environmental protection. It is the world’s first CO2-neutral municipality. The village is completely free of cars and fine dust particles. Particle filters are fitted on all chimneys. Saas-Fee uses 100% clean natural energy from local Valais hydraulic power. The glacier village is probably the most environmentally friendly and sustainable tourist resort in Switzerland. The resort promotes public transport.
