The cross-country trails lead right past the Sahnehang. They are particularly snow reliable and mainly run along the scenic ridge of the Rothaar Mountains. There is a connection to the trail networks of Altastenberg, Westfeld, Lenneplaetze and Langewiese as well as to the Winterberg Bremberg trails. Via the Rothaar trail, you can ski to the Rhein-Weser-Turm and along the Hunauspur to the Ochsenkamp near Bad Fredeburg. Beautiful winter hiking paths lead over the Hochheide (high elevation heath) area of the Kahlen Asten.
