The Santa Caterina Valfurva ski resort offers beginners good conditions for starting out. Practice areas with moving carpets are available at the Plaghera middle station and in the Vall dell'Alpe (Sunny Valley). Beginners can find easy slopes at the button lifts around the Plaghera middle station. There is no easy valley run. Group or individual lessons can be booked with the local ski school. There is a ski school practice area in the base at the cross-country skiing centre.
