Thanks to the favourable climate, the altitude and comprehensive snow production capabilities, the slopes in the Santa Caterina Valfurva ski resort are very snow-reliable. The slopes at the gondola lifts are north-facing and therefore not exposed to direct sunlight. The Valle dell'Alpe on the south side is very high, at over 2,500 metres.
