    The Schilthorn ski resort with the car-free mountain village of Mürren (1638 m) offers many attractive accommodations. Mürren is located on a high plateau and has a very charming character due to its brown chalets and the view of the Bernese Alps. The mountain village is accessible via the cable car lift from Stechelberg. Some of the hotels and holiday apartments are located directly alongside the slopes. In the mountain village of Gimmelwald (1367 m), there are additional accommodations along the Stechelberg-Gimmelwald-Mürren cable car lift. In the valley in Lauterbrunnen (796 m), there are some accommodations directly at the cable car lift to Grütschalp. A narrow gauge railway leads from Grütschalp up to the ski resort.
