New ski depot (Hauser Kaibling)

Lugging skis or a snowboard is a thing of the past! Thanks to Hauser Kaibling, you can now say farewell to the tiresome task of lugging skis or a snowboard and then securing them to the roof of your car at the end of the day. As of this winter, holidaymakers can leave their equipment in the depot at the base station or in the Sport Hauser Kaibling right next door and then pick them up the next day and quickly get started. Best of all: the lockers are heated, so your ski boots are warm and dry the next morning.

Slopes and snow production (Reiteralm)

Widening of slopes as well as investments in improved snow-production equipment.

New "Fritz-Blitz" moving carpet (Planai)

to replace the Lärchkogel-Südlift tow lift.

Expansion of snow-making capabilities (Planai-Hochwurzen)

Expanding snow-making facilities is a top priority for the Planai-Hochwurzen-Bahnen GmbH lift company to offer visitors perfect slopes. The steps most recently taken have put the Planai ski mountain in a very good position. The Hochwurzen mountain is still a little behind and an expansion in snow-making capabilities is required for the World Cup event and to ensure operations, in particular in the pre-season. Experience shows that a snow base needs to be created within the shortest possible time and within the critical temperature range (-2°).

New parking level with 170 spaces (Planai)

Construction of the Harreiter Tunnel (Planai)

Just before the entrance to the legendary ‘Bannwald’ protected forest area (on the last third of the Herrenabfahrt men's downhill slope), a 70 m long tunnel has been constructed through which the slope now passes. This spot was previously considered a bottleneck.

New 800 m² service centre (Hauser Kaibling)

at the mountain station

Expansion of snow-production equipment (Hauser Kaibling)

31 new snow cannons

New cabin village (Reiteralm)

The new cabin village is the third on the Reiteralm.

Free wifi everywhere on the slopes

A wireless network will be available throughout almost the entire Austrian holiday region of Schladming-Dachstein. Visitors can surf the internet, quickly check emails or share their latest photos directly from the ski hut with friends on Facebook or Twitter for free all over the ski resort thanks to a wifi network.

New Weitmoos reservoir (Planai)

In addition to the construction of "Planet Planai" and the Mitterhaus 8-person chairlift, another reservoir has been created - a new spring water reservoir near the base station of the Märchenwiesenbahn lift. The new reservoir has a capacity of 35,000 cubic metres, is filled by spring water and can be used to produce a base layer of snow on the upper part of the Planai in a possibly record-breaking 50 hours. Of course, only if Mother Nature needs a little help.

“Planet-Planai“ (Planai)

"Planet-Planai“ will probably become the symbol of the Alpine Ski World Cup 2013. The futuristic "visitor centre" was built in a record-breaking 220 days.
The new base station building, which is also the main entrance point to the ski resort, heralds a new era in tourism architecture and maximum emphasis has also been placed on the service concept.

New 2 km slope (Reiteralm)

The existing Holzer slope has been extensively widened and additional new runs of 2 km (including snow production equipment) have been created.
