Snow reliability Schladming – Planai/Hochwurzen/Hauser Kaibling/Reiteralm (4-Berge-Skischaukel)
The areas of Planai/Hochwurzen, Reiteralm and Hauser Kaibling try to achieve an early season start each year. Sometimes, skiers have been able to carve their first turns through the snow as early as October (record 2009/2010, on 17 October 2009). Artificial snow production is extremely efficient on all ski mountains and ensures very good valley runs even into the spring. Another big advantage is the fact that most slopes are north-facing, and therefore spared direct sun exposure.
