The new panoramic platform "Kaiserblick" has been offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains since the end of July: a walkway, some of which has a glass floor, rises 20 metres above the southern side of the mountain edge and ends in a spacious platform with telescopes, viscopes and a photo point for the perfect souvenir photos. In winter 2018/19 the Audi Ski Run will be established on the north slope. It's a giant slalom with an stunning view at lake Zell.New ski bridge on the south slope
Over the summer 2018 a new ski bridge was built on the south slope. This innovation allows our ski guests to get to the end of the slope without unbuckeling their ski's and walking across the street.2017/2018

Slope expansions - Summer 2016
Through slope expansions and adaptations in the Nightslope area as well as on the Trass and Standard valley runs, a total of 3 hectares of slope area has been gained. This improves the quality and safety of the slopes for the skiers.New connection and new slope: From Glemmtal up to the Schmitten
With the new zellamseeXpress, the old downhill run used in the years between 1930 and 1980 will be reopened. Since the winter of 2014/2015, the old downhill run has been open for ski tours down to Viehhofen. The new 10-seater mono-cable gondola runs from a corner station above Viehhofen up to the top station on the Salersbachköpfl at 1,920 meters (section 2). From there a 3.3 km long red slope lined with snow making machines leads you to the corner station. This allows Schmitten guests to see the bigger picture. With the construction of the new lift, a completely new slope offers winter athletes even more skiing comfort. By the way, on the Schmitten, 100% of the slopes have snow-making capability - snow and slope enjoyment is thereby guaranteed!2015/2016
KIDSSLOPE
In the new children´s adventure terrain on the Glocknerwiese, all the needs of families and beginners are perfectly fulfilled, from the lift to the slope. There is a wide offering for beginner and advanced Winter athletes. These accompany kids from their first attempts in the snow right up to safely skiing on the slope. New Freeride Ski Route to Viehhofen
A former Schmitten ski slope will be open again this year for keen freeriders. This northern slope is a 4 km, powdery and avalanche safe natural snow run to Viehhofen. The return trip to Zell is possible by bus or taxi.Schmitten Nightslope
As of this winter, skiing fans can extend their ski day three times a week. Beginning on 23 December, the floodlit slope in the middle of Zell am See welcomes night skiing tuesday, thursday and friday from 6:30 PM until 9:30 PM. Use of the night slope is included in the price of a valid ski ticket. Evening ticket prices: Adults € 12 / Children and Youths € 6.Funslope XXL with SpotOn video tracker - even more fun and variety from the longest Funslope
Thanks to SpotOn, the brand new video system for smartphones, you can be filmed via GPS by up to six cameras during your run on the Funslope. Immediately afterwards, you can download your videos onto your smartphone and share them on all social media channels. Schmitten Nightslope
Skiing at night is one more winter highlight. On the new Nightslope near the Ebenberg lift, guests can extend their ski or snowboard day on the Schmitten. Twice a week, slope No. 17 offers a fabulous view over the twinkling city of Zell am See. Enjoy the freshly groomed floodlit slope in this special atmosphere under the stars.The new Glockner lift
The new 8-seater Glocknerbahn chairlift, the third child-safe chairlift on the mountain, is open. The safety bar locks and is ideal for safely transporting children. It is now possible to transport seven children accompanied by only one adult. The lift is equipped with heated, cushioned seats and weather protectors as well as a height-adjustable people mover, which is both innovative and child-friendly.Funslope XXL
The Funslope located near the Hochmais lift on the Sonnenalm offers guaranteed fun on elements such as the snail, tunnel and steep curves. With an unbelievable length of 1,300 m, the Schmitten Funslope is the longest funslope in the world and guarantees burning thighs by the end of the course!The Snowpark area, right next to the Funslope, awaits with a row of butter boxes, wave boxes and kickers.
Schmidolin's Dragon Park
Kids can enjoy the new Schmidolin Dragon Park this winter season, at the mountain station of the Glockner lift. Schmidolin and his helpers show the kids how to make their first turns on this gentle terrain. Fun is guaranteed with various obstacles and figures.2012/2013
