Environmental friendliness of the ski resort SilverStar

SilverStar Mountain Resort follows all guidelines in relation to environmental protection and sustainability as specified by the province. As part of the “Play Forever” commitment, POWDR invests in all kinds of environmental sustainability projects (energy, waste, ecosystems). No artificial snow-making equipment is used and the runs are opened only if there is sufficient snow coverage. The ski resort is 100% powered by hydraulic energy from the British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (BC Hydro).
