Advanced skiing, freeriding (powder snow skiing) Snowbasin

Snowbasin is very popular with experts and freeriders. Lots of challenges can be found within the ski resort boundaries: steep slopes, tree skiing, steep bowls, mogul slopes and powder slopes. The powder slopes within the ski resort boundaries are monitored and you can virtually ski everything.

Steep slopes can be found at every lift. The best steep slopes are in the John Paul area. Strawberry also has lots of challenges. Many of the steep slopes are not groomed, which means you can enjoy demanding mogul slopes in all areas of the mountain.

Information for advanced skiers, freeriders
  • very many freeride/deep snow areas
  • many mogul slopes
  • some extremely difficult, steep and unprepared runs (Double Diamonds)

General note: Always mind the avalanche warnings and barriers, please. Never ski into a closed and unsecured area.
