There are many cozy huts distributed throughout the Sölden ski resort as well as the Ice Q, which is an innovative gourmet attraction. There is a good balance between self-service and full-service huts. On the Rettenbach Glacier and Tiefenbachfern Glacier, there is only one restaurant each with a large self-service freeflow restaurant and sun terrace. Numerous umbrella bars are also available throughout the ski resort.

Restaurant Gaislachkogl middle station

At the middle station of the Gaislachkoglbahn lifts at 2,174 metres

The completely renovated restaurant impresses with high-ceilinged rooms flooded with natural light and large panoramic windows offering amazing views of the Ötztal mountains. The Market Restaurant (self-service) features contemporary food concepts, a live cooking area and an innovative payment system. The modern table-service restaurant serves high-quality cuisine with an emphasis on regional and sustainable produce. Diners can also enjoy a selection of excellent Austrian wines.

Ice Q Restaurant & Lounge

At the Gaislachkogel mountain station at 3058 m

Since the 2013/14 winter season, Sölden has a new gourmet attraction - the Ice Q. Some of the scenes for the new James Bond movie "Spectre" were also filmed here. The Ice Q is comprised of a high quality full-service restaurant and an exclusive lounge. The new, stylish restaurant offers high quality food from the Alpine region. It is the highest restaurant in the Ötztal and the view through its puristic glass facade which is spectacular. The Ice Q-Lounge is an exclusive area for a maximum of 40 people per day. The guests slip out of their winter boots and into wool slippers to enjoy a day with champagne and wonderful food. The Ice Q also offers a romantic highlight during your ski holiday with its Summit Dinner (offered once a week). On the roof of the building, the BIG 3 observation platform with its magnificent views is accessible via a suspension bridge.

At the mountain station of the Giggijoch lift at 2284 m

The Wirthaus Restaurant offers a cozy ambiance and excellent food. A large assortment of quality wines from top Austrian wine growers rounds off the offering. When the weather is nice, you can dine on the wind-protected sun terrace.

Mountain hut tip

Gampe Thaya

Located directly on slope No. 11 at 2000 m

Guests are spoiled with true Tyrolean specialties made with love. Many of the ingredients come from their own farm. Tiroler Gröstl, Kasspatzen, Speckknödel , and homegrown herbs are just some of the Tyrolean cuisine specialties. You can enjoy your meal in one of the cozy dining rooms or on the sunny terrace.

Löple Alm

At the Heide lift at 1970 m

The Löple Alm features rustic dining rooms, a nice bar and a large sun terrace. Typical Tyrolean specialties are served. The proprietor is always very funny and entertaining.

Bratkartoffelhütte - Goldegg Alm

At the Goldegg Alm at 1903 m - accessible from slope No. 2 by ski path

Claudia and Andy (the chefs) spoil your taste buds with Tyrolean specialties in this very cozy hut. The main dishes on the menu feature Bratkartoffeln (fried potatoes) in all variations.

Eugen's Obstlerhuette

At the base station of the Rotkogl double chairlift at 1950 m

Cozy ski full-service hut, located directly on the 21/22 run (Hochsölden) with a comprehensive menu with Tyrolean specialties, noodle dishes, steaks and salads. Daily Aprés Ski parties and live music every Tuesday as of 3 pm. The hut can also be accessed by taxi or by foot.

Gampe Alm

Located directly on slope No. 11 at 2000 m

Traditional alm hut decor with a large terrace and umbrella bar. Hearty snacks, soups and select daily specials are served.

Rotkogljochütte

At the mountain station of the Rotkogljoch at 2662 m

The Rotkoglhütte is a place to enjoy and relax. The panorama view of the Rettenbachfern is breathtaking. The umbrella bar opens before noon.

Hühnersteign

Located at 2000 m directly on slope No. 30 coming down from the glacier.

Rustic, cozy ski hut with a large menu. As of February, freshly grilled chicken is offered daily. The Hühnersteign is also very suitable for Après-Ski and is accessible by taxi or by foot.

Heidealm

At the Heide lift at 2130 m

The Heidealm features a cozy dining room with a ceramic oven. The sun terrace is inviting when the weather is nice. There is also an exclusive area with lounges and sheep skins.
