    There is an extensive network of cross-country trails directly at the ski resort of Solitude. The Solitude Nordic & Snowshoe Center offers snowshoe hiking as well as cross-country trails. Access is through Solitude village or the Solitude Nordic Center.

    The cross-country trails are easy and intermediate in classic and skating style. There are flat areas by the lake and hilly, woody sections. Cross-country ski lessons are available for groups and individuals. The untouched landscape in Big Cottonwood Canyon is beautiful.
