The winter sports resort on the Sonnenkopf does not use snow production equipment. Due to its geographic location in Arlberg and the natural geographic barrier to the north west, the ski resort receives large quantities of natural snow. In addition, the majority of slopes are north facing, so they only receive a limited amount of sunshine in the spring.
