Extending the snowmaking

New in the season 2019/20: The expansion of snowmaking continues. New is the snowmaking of the hotel slope in the Lower Sudelfeld. This area offers a good training opportunity for clubs. The training ground allows many rounds in a short time.

Snowpark and freeride-cross

Two new attractions for winter sports enthusiasts were introduced in the 2015/16 season: a modern snowpark and a freeride-cross course in a segregated area at the Unteres Sudelfeldlift, with wave runs, steep turns, boxes and rails. Easy to intermediate difficulty. All elements offer state-of-the-art safety and meet requirements for promotion of young winter sports practitioners (rated as appropriate by the DSV, BSV and SVD).

Natural reservoir and expansion of snow-making capabilities

Expansion of snow-making capabilities: Snow-reliability from the area of the Oberes Sudelfeld Vogelsang and Kitzlahner over the Mittleres Sudelfeld down to the Waldkopf base station, the Wedellifts and Unteres Sudelfeldlift. Production of an extensive complete snow-making facility including a 150,000 m³ reservoir of currently 20 hectares expanding to 50 hectares (final expansion to 70 hectares)

New: ski-cross course for children at the Unteres Sudelfeldlift.

New children's area

New children's area with people mover and fun characters near the new Waldkopf base station.

New run

A new run leads from the base station of the Kitzlahmer chairlift to the Waldkopf base station.

2013/2014


Ski-touring evening

A signposted ski-touring route leads from the Grafenherberg to the Sudelfeldkopf. Ski-touring evening: between 6 pm and 10 pm on Wednesdays, no snowcats operate on the main slope from the Waller-Alm and Speck-Alm to Bayrischzell or Grafenherberg. Both restaurants are open until 9.30 pm on Wednesdays; the Schi Alm in Bayrischzell stays open until 10 pm.

Dualski rental

The Skischule AibSki ski school offers rental Dualskis for children and young people with disabilities: The child is strapped into a bucket seat secured on two skis. The accompanying ski instructor steers the vehicle with a strap, naturally only after intensive training in technique and lift operation. Information: www.aibski.de and tel. 08062 800801. Advance reservation is essential.

Family ski pass

The family day ski pass costs just €72 and is valid for parents and their children up to and including 15 years of age

Happy-Hour-Skipass

New: the Happy-Hour-Skipass is now available daily for skiing from 2.30 pm - €12 for adults, €6 for children.

New offer for ski-tourers

From the 2012/2013 winter season, there has been a signposted ski-touring route in the skiing paradise of Sudelfeld, leading from the Grafenherberg to the Sudelfeldkopf. The lift operator's aim, together with the DAV (German Alpine Club), was to ensure safe cohabitation of the slopes by skiers and ski-tourers. An important consideration for the DAV and the lift operator is for ski-tourers to follow the rules set out by the DAV. A ski-touring evening also takes place every Wednesday.
