Lifts/cable cars Tauplitz – Bad Mitterndorf
Most of the runs are served by modern lifts. The Mitterstein lift is one of the most efficient gondola lifts in Styria and links to almost all the runs below the Lawinenstein. In addition to this is the Lawinenstein 6-person chairlift with weather-protection covers, the Schneiderkogel 4-person chairlift and the Tauplitzbahn I+II 4-person chairlifts that serve as feeder lifts from Tauplitz. Tow lifts and tow ropes are reserved mainly for beginners and there is almost no need to use them any more. Incidentally, Tauplitz has a very long ski tradition. Its first tow lift went into operation back in 1937 and the longest single chairlift in the world at the time was introduced in 1953.
