Access & on-site parking
The ski resort of The Remarkables is located on New Zealand’s South Island. It is around 24 kilometres/40 minutes from Queenstown. In Kawarau Falls, the road branches off up to the ski resort. The first 4 kilometres of the steep mountain road are tarmacked and the remaining 9 kilometres take you over a gravel road to the car parks below the base station. From there, you need to walk uphill to the lifts for a bit. If the upper car parks are full, you can park around 2 kilometres before the ski resort. A shuttle bus runs from here to the base station. Carrying snowchains in the car is strongly recommended.Mobility on-site
- Comprehensive ski bus network
- No scheduled buses
- A special bus service runs all day long from the centre of Queenstown. A payable bus service by reservation only runs from the Park & Ride bus stop.
