Environmental protection of the ski resort Titlis – Engelberg

Protecting the environment is a very important priority for the Titlis lift operator. Hydraulic power from the local electricity power plants is therefore used for the entire operation of the ski lifts, hotels and restaurants in the ski resort. The lift operator has also committed to optimising energy efficiency and reducing CO2 emissions. The Snowsat GPS system is used for slope preparation to ensure grooming is as energy-efficient as possible. Sustainability is also a priority for future projects. In Engelberg, 7 free ski bus lines transport visitors from all districts to the Titlis lifts. There are also charging stations for electric cars at the base station. In the ski resort on the Titlis, there are large protection zones and quiet areas for wildlife.
