Lifts/cable cars Titlis – Engelberg

The Titlis Xpress 8-person gondola lift provides a comfortable connection in two sections from Engelberg up to the Stand station in the ski resort. The Titlis-Rotair then takes you up to the summit at 3,020 metres. The Rotair is the world's first revolving gondola and rotates 360 degrees during the five-minute journey to the summit. This provides a perfect panoramic view of steep cliff faces, deep glacier crevasses and snow-covered mountain peaks. A funicular and two cable cars also run from the valley up to the ski resort (only as back-up lifts in very busy periods). In the actual ski resort, all fast chairlifts have weather-protection covers and some also have heated seats. The Trübsee-Hopper fixed-grip 4-person chairlift travels over the Trübsee lake, connecting the slopes on the other side. Tow lifts on the Gerschnialp and the Untertrübsee complete the lift facilities. There are also several moving carpets at the Trübsee lake.
