For skiing and snowboarding, there are 30 km of slopes available. 8 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 1,600 and 2,322 m.

The ski resort of Tūroa is characterised by wide, open ski terrain on treeless slopes on the south-west face of the Mt. Ruapehu volcano (2,797 metres). It has mainly intermediate and difficult slopes. There are also lots of freeriding possibilities in the 500-hectare monitored ski area. Freestylers can have fun in several snow parks. Beginners and less experienced snow sports enthusiasts can find beginners’ areas, easy slopes and “Slow Zones” in the winter sports resort of Tūroa.
