Tūroa is the second-largest ski resort on New Zealand’s North Island and has one of the greatest altitude differences in the country. The High Noon Express 6-person chairlift provides access to the highest point accessible from a lift in New Zealand at 2,322 metres. From here, you can enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the North Island. The winter sports resort is located below Tahurangi/Mount Ruapehu. At 2,797 metres, Mount Ruapehu is the highest volcano in New Zealand and the highest point on the North Island.
