Gastronomy/Eating at the ski resort Turracher Höhe
Cosy mountain restaurants serving regional specialities are distributed throughout the entire ski resort. The new K-Alm, boasting the first smoked bacon humidor in Europe, offers top-class specialities. The AlmZeit Hütte is famous for its local Carinthian dishes and "Reindl Essen” (stew). You can also take a break in one of the many free lounge chairs or in the "living room" (service point at the Kornockbahn lift).

Gastronomy tip
K-Alm
At the base station of the Kornockbahn lift.
The K-Alm is the new highlight in Turracher Höhe. This typical alpine chalet serves regional specialities. There is, of course, also a lounge on the first floor and a bar. Gourmets can look forward to Europe's first smoked bacon and cheese humidor. You can put together your own smoked ham or cheese platter here. The wine selection is of course very good. And if you're in a hurry, you can stop off quickly at the Ski-Drive-In. There is also the K-Stadl for après-ski. The K-Alm has everything you need for a perfect break from skiing.

This mountain hut has a cosy and rustic feel with wooden decor, some of which originally came from old timber houses. The team treats diners to freshly prepared soups, regional stew specialities (Reindl), good cold meat and cheese platters, fruit strudels and Kaiserschmarrn chopped sugar pancakes with raisins. All accompanied by fine juices, the best teas, Italian coffee and Austrian wines.

From scampi to Tyrolean ‘Gröstl’ (potatoes with bacon and egg), you can find lots of culinary delights here! Carinthian ‘Kasnudeln’ (cheesy pasta) with Styrian pumpkin seed oil is very popular. The terrace is a very sunny spot.
