The Vals ski resort is located in the Valsertal and is best accessed from the Greater Chur area in the winter. A well-built road leads through the valley to Ilanz from the Reichenau/Disentis exit of the Autobahn A13 St. Margrethen-Bellinzona. A mountain road leads from there to the mountain village of Vals. The gondola goes up from the end of the village to the ski resort. Parking is free with the purchase of a ski pass.
