The ski resort of Watles follows a policy of gentle tourism. The ski resort places great emphasis on gentle slope preparation and artificial snow production. The ski huts use almost exclusively local produce. There is currently no option to extend the ski resort over the Zerzertal valley as the valley is in the Natura 2000 nature protection area.
