Access, Parking Whitewater – Nelson

Whitewater ski resort is located in the Kootenay Rockies below the Ymir Mountain near Nelson in British Columbia. From Nelson, Highway 6 takes you over the 958-metre Apex Summit all the way to the turn-off for the ski resort. A mountain road then leads up to Whitewater ski resort. The first 3 kilometres of the mountain road are tarmacked, after this a gravel road continues to the chairlifts. After around 5 kilometres, you arrive at the Glory Ridge three-person chairlift with limited parking options. A further 4 kilometres takes you to the base station of the other chairlifts. Sufficient parking is available here. The road is cleared and maintained efficiently in winter.
