There are probably only a few ski resorts with only 20 km of slopes that feel as big as the Skiliftkarussell in Winterberg. This is because the total slope length is comprised of many different slopes that stretch across seven ski mountains, most of them with slopes on multiple sides. However, the distance from the entrance on the Remmeswiese to the mountain station of the ski lift on the Nordhang (northern slope) on the Kahlen Asten is still 3 kilometres. In between, it's up and down with varying views, however, you can never see the entire ski resort from one spot - this also gives the ski resort a bigger feel.
