The area around the 719 metre high Yllästunturi is a paradise for cross-country skiers. Cross-country trails link the villages of Äkäslompolo and Ylläsjärvi and lead into the neighbouring Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. Around 40 kilometres of cross-country trails are even floodlit. Cross-country skiers’ every wish is catered for here.
