The Swiss-Italian ski resort with entry points in Zermatt, Breuil-Cervinia and Valtournenche offers an excellent variety of slopes and very long slopes of all difficulty levels.
In Zermatt, the slopes are distributed across the high Alpine terrain on the Rothorn, Blauhorn, Sunnegga, Findeln, Stockhorn, Hohtälli, Gornergrat, Riffelberg and Riffelalp. The glacier slopes are found in the Matterhorn glacier paradise and stretch from the Klein Matterhorn, over the Theodul Glacier, to the Trockenen Steg. The slopes lead over the Schwarzsee and Furi back down to Zermatt. Most slopes provide a great view of the Matterhorn.
On the Italian side, the slopes are distributed across the high Alpine terrain on the Theodul Pass, Cime Bianche, Plan Maison and Salette in the areas of Breuil-Cervinia and Valtournenche.
Most of the slopes lie above the treeline. Only the slopes down to Zermatt, Eja, Furi, Stafel and Valtournenche lead through the forest. Thanks to perfect slope grooming and wide slopes, skiing is particularly enjoyable.
