Advanced skiing, freeriding (powder snow skiing) Zermatt/Breuil-Cervinia/Valtournenche – Matterhorn
Zermatt is a paradise for advanced skiers. The long freeride slopes (ski routes) on the Stockhorn and Hohtälli are very popular. There are over 1000 meters elevation on powder slopes down to the valley. On the Rothorn, there are also gorgeous powder slopes. A mogul slope leads down from the Blauherd to Eja. At Hirli, Schwarzsee and beneath the Trockenen Steg, there are also some freeride slopes (ski routes). There are also some steep and optimally groomed slopes.
In Breuil-Cervinia and Valtournenche, there are also some difficult slopes. However, the slopes are primarily intermediate or easy. There are many tracks through the powder along side the slopes.
- very many freeride/deep snow areas
