The different restaurants on Germany’s highest mountain offer a wide variety of gastronomic delights - from traditional Bavarian dishes to modern, light cuisine with an international touch. The Gletscherrestaurant Sonnalpin and the Gletscher 2600 (Gletschergarten) restaurant are located centrally in the ski resort. On the summit of the Zugspitze, the Panorama 2962 and the Panorama Gipfelrestaurant serve excellent cuisine – including breathtaking panoramic views.

On the Zugspitze 2,962 metres (Bavaria)
The summit restaurant is at an altitude of almost 3,000 metres. From the Zugspitze, you can see 400 mountain peaks in 4 countries. The cuisine consists of the best dishes from the four countries of Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Germany.
Sonnalpin
On the Zugspitzplatt plateau at 2,600 metres
The self-service glacier restaurant offers coffee, snacks and changing daily specials. The cosy interior and beautiful view are particularly worth a mention.
Gletscher 2600 (Gletschergarten)
On the Zugspitzplatt plateau beside the Sonnalpin at 2,600 metres
The Gletschergarten is an impressive glass pavilion. The menu offers regional produce with an international touch. The views of the glacier and mountain peaks are breathtaking.
Panorama Gipfelrestaurant
On the Zugspitze 2,962 metres (Tyrol)
The Panorama Gipfelrestaurant on the Austrian side of the Zugspitze serves high-quality food and drinks in a cosy and rustic atmosphere.
