Skiing in the Stubaital
You can ski and snowboard here from October until June at over 3,000 m above sea level. Access to the Stubai Glacier, the largest and highest ski resort in the Stubaital, was improved during the summer of 2016 with the construction of the Eisgrat lift. This ultra-modern triple circulating ropeway even features special cars with panorama windows, free WLAN and real leather seats specially designed by Pirinfarina.
Some of the other larger ski resorts in the Stubaital, which is surrounded by 109 mountains over 3000 m and 80 glaciers, include Schlick 2000 in Fulpmes, Elfer in Neustift and the Serles lifts Mieders. When accompanied by an adult with a paid ticket, children under 10 years old ski here for free.
In addition to the ski resorts offering the winter sports of skiing and snowboarding, you can also find toboggan runs, winter hiking and snow shoe paths, cross-country trails as well as spectacular events in the Stubaital. Stubaital combines the appeal of a pristine mountain environment with the family-friendly hospitality of a tradition-steeped winter sports region.
